On the second day of Christmas my true Lush gave to me... a Star Light, Star Bright!
Today's Lush review is about the product I was probably most excited to try from the new Christmas range. A super-glittery silver star shaped bath melt? I am there!
I'm afraid the photos for this post were taken with my phone as I forgot to bring my camera with me to Bristol and that's when I used the product. Sorry about that - it's making me itchy to have lower-quality photos on my blog but needs must!
Star Light, Star Bright is a star-shaped product, as you'd expect. It's a bath melt to be more specific, and it's covered in beautiful silver lustre that is so eye catching and shimmery! I took a photo with and without flash to show the sheen :)
As the star continued to melt, I noticed a deep blue centre starting to peek through
I really wanted to get a photo of the silver lustre sparkling away - hopefully you can see!
The deep blue centre ended up tinting the water a baby blue colour that was really pretty with the silver sparkles. Worth mentioning is that I did find the blue stained my hands a bit if I touched it directly so be careful!
As with any product containing glitter, there's always going to be some left over when the water drains away. However, the lustre is so fine and light that it rinsed away really easily and didn't require any scrubbing
I did enjoy using this bath melt - the pretty shimmer and yummy zingy scent worked for me, plus the water was really soft and left my skin moisturised. The silver glitter ending up all over me was a bit overkill and might be a bit awkward if you didn't want to look like a disco ball though. It's definitely fun and I'd use it again, but make sure you're aware of how sparkly you'll end up!
Star Light, Star Bright costs £3.30 and will only be around for the Christmas period so you should snap one up if you can! I love that they included a bath melt with their new Christmas range as it's a little less intense than a bath bomb and more nourishing for the skin than a bubble bar. Will you be picking one up?
